Precision-Built Infrastructure for World-Class Mechanical Seals
At Arohan Seals, every mechanical seal we manufacture begins with the right infrastructure. Our facility in Mumbai is equipped with precision CNC machining centres, surface lapping machines, quality testing equipment, and a dedicated R&D setup — all working together to deliver seals that perform reliably under the most demanding industrial conditions.
Since 2018, we have continuously invested in upgrading our manufacturing capabilities to meet tighter tolerances, broader material compatibility, and faster turnaround — without compromising on the quality that our clients across India and worldwide depend on.
Our Manufacturing Capabilities
Every stage of the mechanical seal production process — from raw material selection to final testing — is carried out in-house at our Mumbai facility.
CNC Precision Machining
Computer-controlled CNC turning and milling centres produce seal components to micron-level tolerances. This ensures perfectly matched seal faces and consistent dimensional accuracy across every batch.
Surface Lapping & Finishing
Dedicated lapping machines achieve the ultra-flat sealing face surfaces required for near-zero leakage. Face flatness is measured in light bands — the same standard used in aerospace and defence manufacturing.
Assembly & Fitting
Clean-room assembly conditions prevent contamination during seal construction. Trained technicians assemble each seal to exacting specifications — spring tension, face contact, and secondary seal fitment are all verified before dispatch.
Pressure & Leak Testing
Every assembled seal undergoes pressure testing before it leaves our facility. Hydraulic and pneumatic test rigs simulate real operating conditions — we only ship seals that pass every test, every time.
Raw Material Quality Control
We source seal face materials — Carbon, Silicon Carbide, Tungsten Carbide, Ceramic, and PTFE — from certified suppliers. Every incoming batch is inspected for dimensional conformance and material integrity before entering production.
R&D & Custom Engineering
Our in-house engineering team develops custom seal configurations for non-standard applications. CAD-based design, material selection consultation, and prototype testing allow us to solve sealing challenges that off-the-shelf products cannot address.
Our Quality Assurance Process
A mechanical seal failure means equipment downtime. Our multi-stage quality process exists to make sure that never happens because of a seal we made.
Raw Material Inspection
All incoming materials — seal face blanks, elastomers, metal components — are inspected dimensionally and visually. Non-conforming materials are rejected before they enter production.
In-Process Dimensional Check
CNC-machined components are measured during and after machining using precision instruments. Critical dimensions — face width, shaft bore, spring pocket depth — are recorded for traceability.
Surface Flatness Verification
Lapped seal faces are checked using optical flats and monochromatic light to verify flatness to within 1–3 light bands — the standard required for a reliable fluid-film seal.
Assembly Inspection
Post-assembly, each seal is inspected for correct spring loading, secondary seal seating, and drive mechanism engagement. Any seal showing resistance or misalignment is disassembled and reworked.
Pressure & Leak Test
Assembled seals are pressure-tested at rated working pressure to confirm zero leakage. Test results are logged against the serial or batch number for each order.
Final Inspection & Dispatch
A final visual and dimensional check is completed before packing. Seals are packed to prevent face damage in transit — export orders receive additional protective packaging.
Seal Face & Component Materials
Correct material selection is critical to seal life. Our facility is equipped to machine and lap all standard mechanical seal materials.
General duty, self-lubricating, excellent chemical resistance. Standard for most pump applications.
Maximum hardness and wear resistance. Ideal for abrasive media, high speed, and aggressive chemicals.
Highest shock and impact resistance. Best choice for abrasive slurries and high-load applications.
Cost-effective hardness and corrosion resistance. Suitable for water pumps and general industrial duty.
Chemical universality — resists virtually all acids, alkalis, and solvents. Used in bellow seals.
Spring, sleeve, and hardware components. Corrosion-resistant structural integrity across all seal types.
Secondary sealing O-rings and bellows. Matched to process fluid and temperature requirements.
Hardware components for highly corrosive environments — acids, chlorides, and oxidising media.
